Manni Awards looking for a few good people

The 2023 Manni Awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, March 23. The awards honor people who have shown outstanding community service and volunteerism in Manitou Springs.

Please nominate a worthy person and tell why they deserve recognition. Previous winners are not eligible to win again. The nominations will be narrowed to 30 finalists, then to the 10 winners who will be revealed at the ceremony.

The categories are:

  • Rockey Artistic Endeavors;
  • Education and Learning;
  • Environmental Stewardship;
  • Business and Economic Vitality;
  • Public Services;
  • Youth Visionary Leadership;
  • Health and Well-being;
  • Mover and Shaker (someone fairly new to town who’s already doing great things);
  • Community Champion; and
  • Visionary Leadership.

Representatives of sponsors School District 14, Chamber of Commerce, city of Manitou Springs, the Manitou Springs Community Foundation, Creative Alliance Manitou Springs and Sixty35 Media will oversee the selections.

Make a nomination at peaklivingmanitousprings.org or drop by the Chamber of Commerce (354 Manitou Ave) to fill out a nomination form. Nominations are due Sunday, Feb. 5. Information: 719-321-5354.
