Upon arrival, they spoke to a person trying to sleep in the commons area, despite having no legitimate reason to be there. The suspect was cited for trespassing and escorted from the property.
After responding to a check-the-welfare request in the 00 block of Sutherland Place, MSPD found a deceased man in the residence. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office took custody of the body and an unattended death report was taken.
Property damage at a business in the 00 block of Manitou Avenue was reported. The business had camera footage of the suspect, and Manitou officers quickly contacted the person. The suspect was cited for criminal mischief and released.
Officers observed a vehicle with no license plate being driven out of Manitou Springs. After stopping it near West Pikes Peak Avenue and Columbia Road, they learned the driver had no license and the vehicle was uninsured.
