The Manitou Springs Fire Department has launched an Emergency Medical Services Transport Division that will start providing ambulance transport services to Manitou Springs on Feb. 12.
Six new employees will staff the department’s ambulance, with one paramedic and one emergency medical technician available 24 hours a day, year round. They’ll work and train side-by-side with current staff and volunteers, allowing MSFD to provide reliable emergency medical care and transport more efficiently.
Chief John K. Forsett thanked city leadership and the community for their “unwavering support.”
