Hiking Bob: National Park Service unveils “Interagency Military Lifetime Pass”

News  /  Culture

Starting Veterans Day, November 11, 2022, eligible military veterans and Gold Star Families will get free lifetime entry to federal recreation sites, by obtaining a “Interagency Military Lifetime Pass”

The pass waives the entrance fees to federal lands operated by the National Park Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Bureau of Reclamation, US Fish and Wildlife Service, and US Army Corps of Engineers to eligible members and those traveling in the same vehicle with them.

Standard fees for activities such as camping, transportation, special recreation permits, reservation fees or special tours, still apply.

The pass is available anywhere that passes are sold, such as US Forest Service offices, or National Parks or Monuments. For a small fee, the pass can also be ordered online.
