Manitou’s annual Carnivale Parade rolls at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18. Drivers should be prepared for Manitou Avenue traffic to be detoured onto some of Manitou Springs’ narrower streets between noon and 2 p.m. that day.
Westbound traffic will be detoured onto Old Man’s Trail, which will take traffic onto El Paso Boulevard, then Lover’s Lane.
Eastbound traffic coming from Ruxton will be detoured onto Osage Avenue.
Both of these roads are extremely narrow residential roads with on-street parking throughout. Large trucks will not be allowed to detour through these roads and will be redirected back onto Manitou Ave or onto U.S. Highway 24.
Please plan ahead and avoid these routes if at all possible.
